Chairman

Michael Dixon, born in Lagos Island, Nigeria, has an impressive educational and professional background. He began his academic journey at Junior Stride Academy in Adekunle, Ebute Metta, and continued his secondary education at St. Gregory’s College. Michael furthered his studies, earning a BSc in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University.

In 2013, Michael migrated to Canada, where he pursued additional qualifications, completing a Project Management Certificate Program at Conestoga College. He has since obtained certifications as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, a Licensed Insurance Broker, and a Certified Personal Support Worker.

Michael’s professional experience spans multiple sectors, including industrial, construction, consulting, oil and gas, and railway industries. As a Senior Health and Safety Specialist, he is known for his people-oriented approach and dedication to ensuring safe work environments. His expertise and leadership have made him a respected figure in his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Michael is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He is a co-founder of Settlement Hub Services in Canada, an organization that plays a crucial role in helping immigrants’ transition smoothly into Canadian society. Settlement Hub is proud to act as a bridge between newcomers and their new communities, offering a wealth of resources, connections, and guidance across Canada.

Hameed Ogunleye
Vice Chairman

Ahmed is a dedicated and passionate professional in the field of urban development and planning. His educational journey began at Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, followed by Boy’s Academy School for his secondary education. He furthered his studies at Lagos State Polytechnic, where he earned a degree in Town and Regional Planning and Urban Development.

Currently, Ahmed serves with the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, working under the Planning Permit Authority in the Monitoring and Compliance Unit. His role is vital in ensuring that building projects adhere to state regulations, and guiding residents through the process of obtaining building approvals. His expertise and diligence help maintain the structural integrity and orderly growth of urban areas in Lagos.

Ahmed is not only committed to his professional responsibilities but also has a deep-seated passion for community service. He actively seeks opportunities to give back and improve the lives of those in his community. His blend of professional acumen and community dedication makes him a standout figure in the realm of urban planning and development.

Toheeb Blaize
Secretary/Treasurer

Toheeb Adeola Blaize, a distinguished professional from Lagos Island, Nigeria, has an impressive educational and career trajectory. His academic journey began at Toria Nursery and Primary School in Yaba, followed by King’s College Lagos for his secondary education. Toheeb earned a BSc in Economics Education from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Lagos.

Currently, Toheeb is a Principal Education Officer at the Federal Ministry of Education, serving at the Federal Science and Technical College in Yaba, Lagos, within the Arts and Social Science department. His role underscores his dedication to advancing education and supporting student development.

Beyond his contributions to education, Toheeb is a successful property developer and entrepreneur, showcasing his versatility and business acumen. As a humanist, he is committed to enhancing community welfare and fostering positive social change. Kehinde Ekeloguoti
Community Leader

Kehinde Ekelojuoti, a Lagos native, has cultivated a rich blend of educational achievements and entrepreneurial success. He began his academic journey at Holy Trinity Primary School and progressed to St. Gregory’s Junior Secondary School, completing his senior secondary education at Eko Akete Grammar School in Campos/Ajele, Lagos Island. Kehinde furthered his education at Lagos State Polytechnic (Laspotech), where he earned a National Diploma in Estate Management.

Following his education, Kehinde immersed himself in his family’s jewelry business, where he refined his expertise and developed a deep understanding of the trade. Recognizing an opportunity to innovate, Kehinde, along with his twin brother Taiwo, co-founded EKE Jewellers. As the CEO, Kehinde has successfully led the company to prominence, earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and creative design in the jewelry industry.

Kehinde’s dedication extends beyond his business endeavors. He is passionate about community service and is actively involved in initiatives that encourage youth participation and development. His commitment to giving back is evident in his efforts to inspire the younger generation, instilling in them a sense of responsibility and a drive to contribute positively to their community.

Sulaimon Olayinka
Assistant Community Leader

Sulaimon Adio Olayinka, born in Lagos Island, has a distinguished educational and professional background, complemented by his deep commitment to community service. He began his education at Umoru Memory Primary School and continued at Eko Akete Grammar School in Campos/Ajele, Lagos Island. Demonstrating a strong dedication to his faith, Sulaimon earned an Arabic Diploma from Markaz Sofuwatul Islamic, located on Sofwat Street in Ajegunle Ilo, Alakuko, Lagos State.

Professionally, Sulaimon’s journey began with a year at Fan Milk Nigeria PLC, after which he ventured into entrepreneurship by founding Sulaimon Trading Company in 2012. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen have been pivotal in his success.

Sulaimon’s commitment to his community is equally remarkable. As the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) for the Oko-Awo Community Development Association (CDA), he plays a vital role in fostering community spirit and ensuring effective communication within the community. Additionally, his role as Zonal Secretary for the Isale Eko Woro Carnival highlights his dedication to preserving and promoting local culture and traditions.

Through his active involvement in the CDA and Oko-Awo community initiatives, Sulaimon has significantly enhanced his ability to give back to his community.
